Dan Newhall, Managing Partner - Client Services
Dan has been recruiting in the Medical Device industry since 2005 and has quickly become a go-to recruiter for Bay Area Medical Device companies. He has a reputation for drumming up top notch, executive level talent quickly and discreetly. He is responsive and honest in his approach and listens to both his clients' and candidates' needs when working with them.
Prior to his career at NCompass Dan worked for Merrill Corporation functioning as a Sr. Account Executive selling IP Litigation Support to law firms working with Medical Device companies. Prior to his litigation experience, Dan worked as a specialized paralegal for Lieff, Cabraser, Heimann & Bernstein. Dan holds a BS in Psychology and Economics from Williams College and an MS in Psychological Research. Dan is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fly-fishing, golf, white water kayaking, and skiing.
David Obad, Managing Partner - Recruiting Services
David has been recruiting in the Medical Device industry since 2003 and is the person to call when you're looking to fill tough technical hires. He is networking with the top tier talent throughout the Bay Area and stakes his reputation on his ability to find the "A" candidates when others fall short.
Prior to NCompass David was the Associate Director of Admissions for the California Culinary Academy. David also performed admissions work in the automotive technology field for the Wyoming Technical Institute and in the collegiate scholarship field for College Prospects of America. David holds a BS in Business, Marketing from Indiana University. David enjoys playing hockey, spending time with his family as well as taking in the San Francisco music scene.
Dan Merrill, Partner
Dan founded NCompass in 2001.
Prior to his career in medical device recruiting Dan was the Founder and CEO of a medical transportation company located in Seattle, WA which was acquired by Rural/Metro Ambulance in 1998. Dan has worked in the medical field for over 15 years. His roles have included Sales, Marketing and Business Development. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Washington State University. Dan enjoys coaching baseball, travel, fishing and mountain biking.
