General Summary:

Manage and Maintain All Cost Functions Including Inventory and Fixed Assets


Essential Functions:
• Prepare and analyze quarterly/annual account analysis reports pertaining to cost and inventory including account postings, balancing, and reconciliation to the General Ledger and subsidiary accounts.
• Establish, input and control financial inventory flow, revaluations, and standard cost updates and maintenance.
• Work with manufacturing, supply chain, engineering & sales personnel analyzing product costs including material, labor, and overhead, associated variances and method to control and reduce costs.
• Responsible for the preparation of SOX documentation and audit schedules related to the both internal and external audit. Provide all supporting information requested in conjunction with the audit(s).
• Provide Senior Management with regular reports on cost, providing visibility into significant fluctuations and activity regarding inventory, product costs, variances and obsolescence
• Maintain and revise monthly financial closing documentation from a cost perspective on an as need basis
• Reconcile and review monthly fixed asset accounts with general ledger including CIP accounts with various project managers.
• Assist outside auditors at quarter and year-end to include preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting analytics.
• Supervise and maintain demo inventory tracking process
• Assist in various audits, such as Property Taxes audit and Sales Taxes audit.
• Performs special projects as requested by Management Team



Education/Training/Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting or Finance with 4 years’ related experience in cost accounting
• Experience with both large and small companies. Previous start-up/ramp up company experience ideal
• Teamwork and customer service minded
• Creative and positive attitude
• Advanced skills in the following areas are required: Microsoft Excel, Access, Pivot Tables. Experience with EPR package also required, Oracle or Great Plains/Dynamics preferred
• Strong team player willing to share responsibility to accomplish goals
• Strong process re-engineering and workflow management skills. Experience with lean manufacturing and inventory principles for cost reduction are preferred
• Excellent follow-through and meticulous eye for detail
• Exceptional verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously and manage multiple deadlines, and work with grace under pressure
• Solid understanding of US GAAP
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

• Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

• Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.

• Computer Skills:
Must have thorough knowledge and experience in using the Microsoft Office Suite of programs including Excel and Word.
